On the honorific column we know the data and documentation provided by Vivant Denon, who made a drawing in which the honorific column with its base completely covered by sand was still standing.
The column had on its upper part an inscription in honor of the Emperor Phocas (602-610 AD), although the column is assumed to be older, most likely of the second century AD. and that it was part of a 4 column Tetrapilum.
